Zola Reservoir Dam is located 15 km northwest of Salmas on the Zola Chai River. The dam is a clay core with a crown length of 323 meters and a height of 87 meters in order to supply 9,000 and 272 hectares of water. The agricultural lands of the region and the provision of safe drinking water and industry in the cities of Salmas and the city, as well as providing some of the environmental goals of the National Park of Lake Urmia in April 2010 has been exploited. Regional Water Company of West Azarbaijan province has been involved in designing Zola Reservoir and related structures as employer and consultant engineers of Zistab.
